Over the years denim has taken a backseat to the Athleisure trend. I mean, I get it... who doesn't love leggings and sweatpants! However, this past year we have seen a resurgence in denim and I am totally here for it!
No matter the Season denim will always be on trend, yet nothing screams Fall Fashion like a cute and stylish pair of jeans... Fall is when your denim can really shine! Now more than ever we are seeing some really unique and fashion forward denim pieces. From the signature Barrel Denim from Free People to the Relaxed Wide Leg silhouette from Paige Denim. The options are endless right now.
A few trends we are seeing in Denim this Fall are:
- The Baggy Jean: This trend has been around a few seasons and has no plans to retire. The wide leg, relaxed fit jean is stylish and comfy! Pair with your favorite tank and sneakers or dress up with a blazer and heels. HINT: If you feel you can't wear the Wide leg look, opt for a crop version or do a wide cuff(also trending). I personally find this is more flattering for my body type! I can still be on trend and wear what works for my body!
- Skinny Jeans: Yes! you read that right, Skinny Jeans are back... OR if you are like me, they never went out! lol!! I will say, over the past couple years, I have upgraded my "leggings" to a more skinny/straight look. But seriously if you are a millennial, how can you ever depart from this trend! Just don't bring back low rise and we are good! My personal favorite is the Paige Cindy for a nice skinny/straight fit. You can't deny Skinny Jeans + Boots = Fall Perfection.
- Midi Skirts: I personally love this look! A Midi Skirt is so trendy and yet timeless all at once. The styling options are endless and it brings an elevated look to your denim game.
- Denim on Denim: Yes the Canadian Tuxedo is trending! Grab that denim jacket or vest and pair it with denim jeans or a denim skirt for that classic denim on denim look. Great thing, it's easy to style by adding boots, a felt hat and fun accessories!
- Cropped Denim: I personally love this trend. I love that you can really show off your shoes with a fun cropped jean. From cropped flares to wide leg crops, I am totally digging this trend, especially in South Florida.
